Looks like Barack and Michelle Obama don't have to worry about their eldest daughter, Malia's future no more. She just scored her first job – working as a production assistant on the Los Angeles set of Halle Berry's new TV series Extant.
According
to The Wrap, the young Obama helped with computer shop alignments and
was allowed to slate a take, and was overheard saying happily, "My first
time. This is a big deal."
Even though there's being no comment from the FLOTUS office over the 15 year old venture into showbiz, Michelle Obama once told People Magazine back in 2012 that Malia Obama
had "expressed some interest in filmmaking. Just like her dad, she is
an avid reader and enjoys movies. But she is a freshman, so she also
knows she has years in college to explore her interest."
As for the film Extant, it marks Halle's first major small-screen role since the 2005 TV movie Their Eyes Were Watching God, for which she gained both an Emmy and a Golden Globe nominations.
The 13 episode series tells a story of an astronaut who returns to Earth pregnant after spending a year in space.
