With your years of experience in acting and movie making one would have expected you to raise the money needed for the surgery, would you say there is no money in that industry?
Hmmmmmm
my brother I can only give glory to God for his mercies concerning
raising the money, before I cry out to people for help I was trying on
my own to raise the money but unfortunately time was fast not on my side
because I was loosing blood everyday. Ope let me tell you the truth we
don't really make so much money like people out there exaggerates, most
of the jobs we do are "Bamise" ( meaning please assist me in Yoruba
language), rob my back I rob yours. That is the Reason most of us have
other business aside acting.
There is this news i need you to confirm, I read online that you needed N400,000, N500,000 and N1,000,000, so tell me exactly how much was needed at that time?
It was actually N500,000 I needed then, you know you guys
now.... you are always writing to make the story what its not, I read it
too and I have to answer too many question from my fans out there.
How would you describe the gestures of your fellow actresses to you in the time of need?
Well
some very close to me really tried their best especially Opeyemi Ayeola
she came visiting and try to organize a sort of contribution for
me. Funke Etti, Taiwo Adebayo, Dipo Olajide, Jamiu Azeez, Aduke G-money
and host of others help in their own very special way.
The list won't be complete without mentioning Hon Rotimi Makinde and Aisha Abimbola they all tried their best.

Were there people you expected to see their donations that did not show up?
Yeah
but I won't be mentioning names, but the good lord surprised me because
most people that gave me money were people I don't even know they were
my fans who love what I do and still want me to be there and stay alive
and I am really grateful to them all.
What do you think is lacking in nollywood?
I
think the government should really come to our rescue and help us build
this industry. Many things ooooo although we are working hard to fill
those gaps but it's not enough.
What are the lessons you have learnt from all these?
I
did learn a whole lot of lessons, when you are OK people will rally
round you and make you believe they love but unfortunately wen you are
faced with a little challenge they stop loving and show you their true
self.
This sickness has really taught me to live my
life just the way God wants me to and forget about the fake people I am
surrounded with.
What are some other things you've been doing to sort out your bills? How have you been sustaining yourself financially?
Before
my ailment I have an "area mother" in Holland who normally send me
stuffs to sell and I still have those goods with me to sell and that is
what I have been doing to sustain myself and the kids.

You must be a very hardworking woman, I heard you still featured in some movies as at the time you were not feeling too fine?
Yes
you are right I need to because of my kids I need to really work for
them, most of the location I go to then nobody knows I was sick...
although they noticed I lost weight so they were always asking what I
was using to slim down like that.
Would I be right to say you are physically fit and ready to take up any acting role?
Yes I am very fit to work right now.
So far, have you been called for any productions?
No I haven't been called but I know soon I will start getting jobs
Are there some roles you would love to play that you are not given opportunity to?
Well so far I guess none because there is no role I haven't played and each role I have played makes me proud of what I do.
Message to your fans...
I want to really
really thank my fans for their unending love for me I want them to know
that I also love them and ready to keep entertaining them, also their
prayers would go a long way...please keep praying for me. I just have to
let them know I am OK and fit to start working again.
Thank you for this opportunity and welcome to nollywood.
Thank you so much I really do appreciate you, God bless you more.
Good to know. Welcome madam. I AM HAPPY FOR YOU
