Enugu Assembly Confirms Pastor As New Deputy Governor

Barely 48 hours after the impeachment of the Enugu State Deputy Governor, the Enugu State House of Assembly has confirmed a clergy cum politician, Ralph Nwoye, as the new deputy governor of the state.
Mr. Nwoye, whose name was forwarded to the Assembly on Wednesday, replaces Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi who was impeached on Tuesday over allegations that he raised chickens behind his official quarters and failed to represent Governor Sullivan Chime at some events.

Until his appointment, Nwoye was the Bishop and overseer of the Christ Ascension Church in Ugwuaji, Enugu. He is from Isiogbo Nara in Nkanu East Local Government Area.
