This is really, really sad. Robin Williams was known for always putting smiles on the faces of people, but deep within, no one knew what he was going through. Actor and Comedian, Robin Williams, has been confirmed dead, and from all indications it seems the star actor committed suicide.
Emergency crews were called to his house, at about 12 noon yesterday. Later his third wife, Susan Schneider, who he married in 2011, issued a statement saying the 63-year-old actor has passed on. She said.

'This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken.
'As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions,' .
Williams, had been suffering from severe depression recently.
President Obama has also led the tributes to Robin Williams after he was found dead from an apparent suicide in his home. Obama wrote a touching statement,

'Robin Williams was an airman, a doctor, a genie, a nanny, a president, a professor, a bangarang Peter Pan and everything in between. But he was one of a kind. He arrived in our lives as an alien - but he ended up touching every element of the human spirit.
'He made us laugh. He made us cry. He gave his immeasurable talent freely and generously to those who needed it most - from our troops stationed abroad to the marginalized on our own streets. The Obama family offers our condolences to Robin's family, his friends, and everyone who found their voice and their verse thanks to Robin Williams.'

Williams had been given the title, 'the funniest man alive'. Williams fought drug and alcohol problems from the time he was still appearing in Mork & Mindy, right at the start of his fame.
Behind all the laughter on and off stage and camera, Williams endured a struggle with personal demons that manifested themselves in well publicized drug and alcohol problems.
Williams managed to maintain his sobriety for two decades but in 2006, relapsed and sought treatment.

His divorce from his wife of 19 years and mother of two of his three children, film producer Marsha Garces, came a couple of years later after he relapsed and many outside his family's inner circle suspected his substance abuse struggles were to blame.
He described feelings of loneliness and fear that pushed him back towards alcohol at the time. He said,
'I was in a small town where it's not the edge of the world, but you can see it from there, and then I thought: drinking. I just thought, hey, maybe drinking will help. Because I felt alone and afraid. It was that thing of working so much, and going f***, maybe that will help. And it was the worst thing in the world.'
