After the Sunday draw with Dolphin United, Nigeria Premier League
side, Bayelsa United, fired Coach Solomon Ogbeide over the poor results continually
being recorded by club. Coach Ogbeide thus emerged as the first casualty for
the season having been sacked by his employers just eight weeks into the
season.
The uninspiring 2-2 home draw in the South-South derby against regional rivals Dolphins FC on Sunday was the last straw for Ogbeide who has managed just one win all through this season.
Confirming the latest development, Bayelsa United’s media officer, Eddy Ohis, said the Anthony Ogola-led management after their emergency meeting decided to show Ogbeide and his backroom staff the exit door following a run of poor results.
