The Senate on Monday received the second batch of prospective ministers for Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari's first cabinet. Three women are in this list, which takes the total number of women named up to six:

- Prof Claudis Moleye Daramola,
- Prof Anthony Anwuka
- Brigadier Gen M M Dan Ali
- James Ocholi
- Okechukwu Enyinna Enelamah
- Zainab Ahmed Shamsuna
- Mohammed Bello
- Aisha Abubakar
- Adamu Adamu
- Isaac Adewole
- Abubakar Bwari Bawa
- Heineken Lokpobiri
- Jeffery Onyema
The ministers will now have to be vetted by the senate.
