25 Yr-old secondary school graduate emerges Nigeria's youngest LG Chairperson (Photos)

This is the amazing and inspiring story of a 25-year-old secondary school graduate who was appointed as a caretaker chairperson in Kebbi State.

Hindatu Umar is the youngest woman to be appointed a caretaker chairperson in Nigeria.

The 25-year-old secondary school graduate who is now Nigeria's youngest Local Government Chairperson has resumed work at Arugungu LGA, Kebbi State after the tenure of the past caretaker management had come to an end.
She will overseer the affairs of the local government until a chairman is elected by the people.
Caretakers are individuals who fill seats in government temporarily without ambitions to continue to hold office on their own until an election is conducted to fill the position they occupy.

This is especially the case in Nigeria as governors are given the power to appoint caretakers for the respective local governments to manage a local government until an election for the position of a local government chairman is conducted.
