NBA star, former boyfriend of Khloe Kardashian, James Harden has been accused of masterminding a robbery inside a strip club to get revenge on a Hall of Fame basketballer's son.
Moses Malone Jr, the son of basketball legend Moses Malone, filed a suit alleging the Houston Rockets star planned an attack on him in June 2016.
Malone Jr was Houston’s V Live Vintage Steakhouse, a strip club last year when he was bashed and had up to $50,000 worth of jewelry stolen.
The suit, according to the Fox 26 reporter Isiah Carey, claims Harden 'paid a group of people $20,000 in cash to attack and rob Malone
The report goes on to claim the 27-year-old NBA star was furious at Malone Jr for making disparaging comments on Facebook about a basketball camp he ran the day before in Houston.
Malone Jr claims he was confronted by a group of men outside the strip club about his Facebook post, before the men then followed him inside.
That's when he claimed in the suit that he was knocked to the ground and attacked. The Hall of Famer's son claims he had a diamond earring ripped out, while other items were also taken from him.
Harden has not been connected to the crime by police, and his lawyer told Fox 26 Malone Jr was attempted to capitalize on his client's wealth.
'I am totally comfortable that the allegations are untrue,' attorney Rusty Hardin said.
'Unfortunately, I am afraid this is just another example of people shopping for a deep pocket when they find that the people actually responsible have no money.'
Malone also filed a suit last August against the club, in which he is seeking $1million in damages.
