Celebrities Storm Saidi Balogun’s 50th Birthday Dinner (Photos)


Dressed in a highly embellished asymmetrical dress, it was obvious she was out to steal the show. Indeed, Iyabo Ojo stole the show when she arrived at the venue of the event held in Ikoyi Lagos.

It was a black tie event and the celebrator had indicated on the invite that guests should be in white/black.

To also celebrate with veteran actor, Saidi Balogun on his 50th birthday anniversary was elegant Mercy Aigbe who turned up in a tiny beaded strapped-dress with silver embellishments at the hem—she was gorgeous too.
According to reports by Kemiashefonlovehaven, other celebrities who turned up for the “Evening with Saidi Balogun, Corporate Bodies And Stars,” were Fred Amata, Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde, Desmond Elliot, the German Consular-General, Gloria Young, Kalu Ikeagwu, Sunkanmi Omobolanle and a host of others.

Performing for an excited audience were Queen Salawa Abeni and Sir Shina Peters.
The four day event kicked off on Tuesday, July 4 when the veteran actor, Saidi Balogun visited the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan. According to the actor, who was appointed an ambassador of the institution, this was a rare privilege considering the fact that he was the first to attain that position.

Saidi said, “It was a privilege yesterday at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan as I was honoured by the number one medical institution in Nigeria as its first ambassador in the 60 years of its establishment. I am happy to announce that my new role will see me represent the institution in all national and international engagements. This is a huge responsibility, one which I am glad to be associated with.

However, the dinner with stars was organised to fete captains of industy, who are also involved in the entertainment industry and who would help ensure development of the sector.
The grand finale of the birthday celebration comes up on Friday, July 7 in Lagos.
