Even With The Bad Economic Situation of Nigeria Many Entrepreneurs Are Christened - Damilare Odusanwo, CEO Gentle Wash Laundry

  • Damilare Odusanwo, CEO Gentle Wash Laundry

As part of my project to promoting young entrepreneurs in the country, I  had an exclusive interview with the CEO of Gentle wash Laundry, Damilare Odusanwo a graduate of Statistics and Computer science from the University of Lagos... #ChatwithOpecareem

Read excerpts below:

Opecareem: Do you ever feel like giving up as an entrepreneur?
Gentlewash: Sure... The temptation has been crazy.. Especially when I got a job offer last month
OPECareem: And what's bn d driving force?
Gentlewash: The future I see ☺
OPECareem: LOOKING AT HOW AND WHEN YOU STARTED, HOW MUCH HAVE YOU GROWN?
Gentlewash: On a scale of 1 to 10.. I would say 4
Opecareem: What were your major challenges and what did you do to overcome them?
Gentlewash: Climate inconsistency

And getting high paying clients
Opecareem: And what would you say to a person that wants to become an entrepreneur but lacks funding?
Gentlewash: Start where you are!

If you are waiting for the perfect time to start, you would probably not start.
OPECareem: Also, some people say they can not start a business now considering the economic situations in Nigeria, what's your take on this?
Gentlewash: Even in this bad economic situation, a whole lot of entrepreneurs are christened... So the major question that should be asked is "will your business create value".... If the answer is a big fat YES, den economic situation got nothing on you.
Opecareem: It's a very competitive industry you find yourself as an entrepreneur... How do u manage to stay on top of ur game?
Gentlewash: Complimentary service is the way to go.. And our prompt service is also key
OPECareem: Where do you see yourself in five years time... And what's your  advice for unemployed Nigerian youths...
Gentlewash: I see myself employing over 100 graduates...

My advice..
Don't ask yourself what Nigeria can offer you.. Ask what you can offer Nigeria
Opecareem: Whatever changed your perspective abt 9-5 job?
Gentlewash: The fact that I have to spend those precious time building someone's company when I have a whole lot of values I can offer Nigeria as an entrepreneur.
OPECareem: If everyone becomes an entrepreneur who will you employ?
Gentlewash: The funny thing is every one will not  or rather can't become an entrepreneur.. There is always the working class!
