I'm sure Ibe Kachikwu curses the day he met Buhari-Fani Kayode writes

Former aviation minister, Fani Kayode has penned down an article on the Minister of Petroleoum,Ibe Kachikwu titled' THE TRAVAILS OF IBE KACHIKWU AND A LESSON FOR THE HOUSE NIGGERS"

I have little doubt that Ibe Kachikwu, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and Energy, regrets the day that he left the relative comfort of the private sector and entered the stormy waters of Nigerian politics.
I am sure that he curses the day that he met President Muhammadu Buhari, that he opted to join the APC and that he accepted the long-awaited and much sought after invitation to be a member of his troubled cabinet and fast-sinking government.

As the saying goes, “not all that glitters is gold” and as the fiery and courageous black American civil rights leader and cleric, Malcom X, once said, “in the final analysis, whether he be a house nigger or a field nigger, a nigger remains a nigger and one day ‘masser’ still gonna give him a damn good whoppin!”

Buhari still working from London - Kachikwu

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, says that President Muhammadu Buhari is still working from London where he is currently receiving medical treatment. Speaking on BBC Hard Talk interview in London on Monday, he said when asked about the state of health of the President “Yes, he is in London. He is undergoing hospital treatment, (but) I don’t know the details of that and I obviously wouldn’t know. But let me say this, he returned from his first trip in London, even though the doctors advised him to have some rest. “He’s back to London and he has continued some levels of meetings and has been able to play some roles. He has a very efficient Vice-President who is sitting in for him in his absence. It really hasn’t made much of a difference.”

I will resign if we're still importing fuel by 2019 – Kachikwu

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, has vowed to resign if the country fails to attain self-sufficiency in the refining of petroleum products by 2019. Dr. Kachikwu, who spoke as a guest on BBC Hard Talk in London on Monday, also stated that he recently signed an agreement with oil giant, Agip, for the firm to build a refinery in Nigeria. When asked to state the year that Nigeria would be self-sufficient in refining petroleum products, Kachikwu replied, “I have said 2019, and that is the target that I gave.” On whether he would leave office if he failed to achieve the target, the minister replied, “Yes, of course. That is the reason why you are in government.”
