Aisha Yesufu Reacts To Obasanjo's Letter To Buhari


The convener of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign Aisha Yesufu has reacted to former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s letter to President Muhammadu Buhari warning him against running in 2019. Aisha in series of tweet called President Buhari a serial looser as well as beckoned on Nigerians to focus on denying APC and PDP power.

Aisha Yesufu Forced to Resign as BBOG Convener Over Call for Buhari's Resignation

Indications have emerged that the Convener of the Bring Back Our Girls group, Aisha Yesufu, was forced to resign. Yesufu had tendered her resignation as the leader of the group, creating the impression that she was leaving willingly. She had on August 1, 2017 made the decision to quit her position public on her Twitter handle. She tweeted: “Today i step aside for my sis Ms Florence Ozor @FlorenceOzor to take over as the new Chairperson. In our leader @obyezeks we have a teacher.” However, sources told The Eagle Online that Yesufu, whose group is agitating for the return of the schoolgirls kidnapped from their hostel in Chibok, Borno State by the Boko Haram sect, was forced to resign based on her criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari in a video on her Twitter handle on May 19, 2017.

#BBOG commends FG, Security Agencies on Chibok Girls' Release

The Bring Back Our Girls group (BBOG) on Sunday applauded the Federal Government and security agencies on the release of the 82 Chibok girls. The commendation came in a statement signed by the Convener of the group, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, on Sunday in Abuja. "The Nigerian Presidency has confirmed that 82 of our missing 195 Chibok Girls have been released via a negotiated deal. The efforts were through the combined effort of security agencies, the military, the government of Switzerland, the Red Cross, local and international NGOs."
