Dino Melaye regains freedom

Dino Melaye, who was arrested this morning on his way to Morrocco, has been released. Spokesman of the embattled senator, Gideon Ayodele, says the senator was let off Immigration operatives’ hook after a stand-off that lasted about two and a half hours.

Police Arrest Seven For Assassination Attempt On Dino Melaye

The Kogi State Police Command has arrested seven persons in connection with the assassination attempt on Senator Dino Melaye at his country home, Aiyetoro-Gbede, last Saturday. Melaye had last Saturday escaped unhurt when gunmen invaded his house shooting sporadically as they destroyed two vehicles and riddled his building with bullets. Sources close to the Kogi State Police Command disclosed on Monday that a black jeep suspected to have been used for the operation alongside a cache of ammunition was found by the State Criminal Investigation Department.

There Is No Plot To Impeach Buhari – Dino Melaye

Chairman of the Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory, Dino Melaye has stated on Wednesday morning, that reports he was planning to initiate impeachment proceeding against President Muhammadu Buhari were not true. The senator from Kogi State said the “falsehood” emanated from those who didn’t want Nigeria to progress unless they were in power. Mr. Melaye made the remarks in a statement he signed and distributed on Wednesday morning in Abuja.
