President Jonathan has said all those who have defected to APC will come back with empty stomachs.Speaking at the handover of reports by the Presidential Campaign Organisation, he said “These people who are running – some of them are already carpet-crossing, they will come back with empty stomachs because they (APC) would touch the primary members of their party before they would look at you, the peripheral. They know you are coming because you think there is food. Before it will get to you, the food will be gone. So let us be committed to PDP”,

I get too many contradictory advice on issues-Goodluck Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday disclosed that for every issue he had to take a decision on, multiple suggestions that were most times contradictory were given to him from those around him.

He said it was therefore important for Nigerians to continue to pray to God to give him wisdom to take right decisions that would not bring suffering to the people but move the nation forward.

President Jonathan Is Not Sick —Presidency

 

The Presidency on Sunday claimed there was no truth in media reports that President Goodluck Jonathan was flown to Germany on Friday for medical attention.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, said this in a telephone interview with Punch from Germany, where the President had been since Friday on a “private visit.”

Abati had last Thursday issued a "terse" statement, indicating that Jonathan, with a few aides, was travelling to Germany on a private visit and should be expected back this week.

Media reports however had it that the President had been taken to a German hospital after he suddenly fallen ill. According to the reports, an earlier planned dinner for members of the just-concluded 2014 National Conference on Thursday had to be cancelled because of the sudden illness of the President.

Contrary to official claims that President Goodluck Jonathan travelled to Germany on a private visit, LEADERSHIP authoritatively gathered yesterday that the president actually took ill and left for Germany to seek medical care.

Efforts to get a confirmation from the Presidency failed up until the time of going to press, as several calls to his spokesman, Dr Reuben Abati, did not go through and he didn’t respond to an email enquiry either.
