Davido, Beyonce, Jay Z, Tiwa Savage, Sarkodie nominated for BET Awards 2014 (See full list)

Davido and Tiwa Savage will fly the Nigerian flag, after they were nominated alongside Mafikizolo (South Africa) Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Sarkodie (Ghana), and Toofan of Togo for Best International Act (Africa).

Elsewhere, Drake, Future, J.Cole, and Kendrick Lamar will try and wrestle the Best Male Hip Hop Artists gong from veteran Jay-Z, while Rihanna and Beyoncé face-off for the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist category, which also features Janelle Monae, Jhené Aiko, K.Michelle, and Tamar Braxton.

 

The BET Awards 2014 will be staged at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, on June 29. They will then premiere on BET International in Africa on 1 July at 9pm.
