"I Spent 9 Years In The University" - AY

A.Y originally started out as a personal assistant to Ali Baba. Speaking about his journey to the top, AY takes a trip down memory lane. He says, 

“I don’t like talking about this. But, yes, I spent nine years in the university but not as a failure as some people may assume. But I had to set my priorities right. It was tough I had to joggle so many jobs to make ends meet. I also had to cater to my siblings and I was a victim of different circumstances on campus.”

We learnt you have spent over N300 million on this project?

The aforementioned amount might turn out to be an understatement when you come to MVP to see what we are putting in place in Lekki, Lagos. A lot has gone in, and even more to come. We are having a world class and premium Restaurant Nightclub Lounge.

How much have gone into this and how much more do you reckon you will spend?

You might want to interview the accountant of MVP and the contractors in charge of different aspects of the project to get an exact figure

A source also told Encomium Weekly you have investors who are in this with you?

MVP, at the moment, has two other directors that are partnering me to make it become what we have designed the place to be. I am sure you would agree with me that is the right way to go in other to explore the challenges and opportunities associated with getting it right in a sustainable society.

What is the equity like? 50/50?

The equity is well defined. But if you are looking at buying into the business we still have a room and a parlour left in the entire compound.

Who is coordinating the designs?

AY Makunis currently shooting his first movie titled '30 Days in Atlanta: The Adventures of Akpos', which features US starsVivica Fox, Lynn Whitfield, and Karlie Redd.
The movie which was shot in two countries – Atlanta US and Nigeria also features Richard Mofe Damijo, Desmond Elliot, Ramesy Noah, Rachael Oniga, Omoni Oboli, Ada Amehas well as Ghollywood actors Juliet Ibrahim and Majid Michael.
According to the comedian-turned-producer, he plans to conclude shooting at the end of October 2013.
AY seems to be borrowing a leaf from his US counterparts, someone like stand-up/comedian Kevin Hartwho has long gone into film production.

Popular comedian Ayo Makun took to social network, twitter to reminisce about his ex-lover, though he has got a lovely wife and daughter. The comedian jokingly blasted his ex for still being alive after all the regular lines she used to say to him when their romance was still blooming. According to him, he expected her to be dead by now to prove to him that she truly couldn’t live without him. “@AYCOMEDIAN: I’m so disappointed. My ex is still alive after all this years! AY Comedian Pleads With Jonathan To Set Up An Entertainment Ministry

Popular rib cracker and stand up comedian, Ayo Makun a.k.a AY is clamoring for Entertainment Ministry and wants the Ministry of Art, Culture and Tourism to exempt itself from handling entertainment, music, movie and comedy matters. The rich entertainer is said to be pleading with the Federal Government to set up a ministry to oversee the booming entertainment industry in the country. “The CEO of AY Show feels that the entertainment industry is too big to be put under the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism,” said one of his aides. The humourist, however, is of the opinion that if the government decides to set up an entertainment ministry, it should put people who have paid their dues in the same industry.
