Taiwan celebrates over 300 same-sex marriages, the first in Asia following the legalization of same sex marriage. Hundreds of same-sex couples in Taiwan rushed to get married Friday, the first day a landmark decision to legalize same-sex marriage took effect. This is the first in the record of Asia as Taiwan allow same-sex marriage last week in a legislative vote on a cause that the island’s LGBT rights activists have championed for two decades. There was a rush to the household registration office in central Taipei after the law took effect as LGBT couples seized the earliest opportunity to tie the knot.

53 arraigned for attending gay wedding in Kaduna

The Police on Wednesday arraigned 53 persons, who were allegedly arrested during a gay marriage, before a Magistrates’ Court in Chediya-Zaria, Kaduna State. The prosecutor, Mannir Nasir, said the accused were arrested on April 15 at Zaria Motel and were being charged for conspiracy, unlawful assembly and belonging to a gang of unlawful society. He said the offences contravened Sections 97, 100 and 197(a) of Criminal Procedure Code, CPC.

Mohammed Umar has allegedly killed his gay partner Mohammed Snu inside a room of a hotel in Garki, Abuja.

According to reports, Snu died after he was stabbed multiple times in the ribs with a screw driver by Umar last Thursday.

The deceased, who was a regular guest at the hotel, was said to have invited Umar for sex, but their romance went sour when Snu refused to pay his partner for the second round of sex.

The Lagos State Police has arrested two teenage boys, 19-year old Gideon Harrison and 14-year old Ifeanyi Ezeorji, for allegedly having s*x with each other in Ikotun, Lagos.
