We Will Publish Names Of Looters- Buhari


President Mohammadu Buhari on Friday said his government will soon publish names of those who have returned portions of their loot from public coffers. President Buhari, according to The Cable News, said that the Central Bank of Nigeria will soon publicly name those who looted Nigeria. He said the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) was holding on from publishing the list in order to avoid jeopardising investigations and further recoveries. The president disclosed this while speaking at the 15th session of the Anyiam-Osigwe Foundation lecture at the International Conference Centre, in Abuja yesterday. In his lecture, Buhari said during electioneering, the issue that gained “higher currency” in the psyche of the people was that Nigerians needed leadership that could be relied upon to tackle the orgy of corruption in the country.

I Haven’t Got Useful Tips from Jonathan – Buhari


President-elect Muhammadu Buhari has accused the outgoing Goodluck Jonathan government of not giving him “tips” on how to kick-start his administration on May 29. He spoke on Thursday when a committee from the Centre for Human Security of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, presented a five-point policy document to him at the Buhari Support Organisation office in Abuja. Hours before the event which held behind closed doors, the All Progressives Congress, insisted that the Federal Government was not cooperating with the transition committee set up by the President-elect.

Jonathan, Buhari Clash over Transition Committee Terms of Reference


After the President – Elect, General Buhari inaugurated his 19-member transition committee, the Federal Government has indicated it has picked some holes in the task to be executed by the committee, hence warned the opposition from running another government. Statement, Says AIT Free To Cover President-Elect’s Activities The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that all accredited media organizations in the country, including the African Independent Television (AIT), are free to cover the activities of the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the incoming Buhari Administration will not discriminate against any media organization, irrespective of its role during the electioneering campaign leading up to the recent polls.

Buhari Bans AIT from Covering His Activities


African Independent Television (AIT) has been barred from covering activities of the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari till further notice. The embarrassing situation came on Monday, when AIT reporters were sent out of Defence House during the meeting between Buhari and a visiting Cuban delegation, led by its Ambassador to Nigeria. The AIT reporters were asked to leave the vicinity till further notice.

Man meets Buhari after trekking from Lagos to Abuja (Photos)

The man, who vowed to trek from Lagos to Abuja if General Muhammadu Buhari wins the March 28 Presidential election to celebrate his victory, has finally met the President-elect. The Ibadan-based man, Suleiman Hashimu, met Buhari in Abuja on Friday, April 24, 2015. Hashimu spent 18 days trekking from Lagos to Abuja.
