Fayose To Buhari: Resign If You Love Nigeria


Governor Ayo Fayose has urged President Muhammadu Buhari, to resign if he loves the country, as ill-heath is not allowing the President to effectively discharge his constitutional duties. Fayose, who addressed newsmen in Lagos on Tuesday, said being an avowed corruption fighter, Buhari is now under moral burden to save Nigeria from needless stagnation arising from his heath challenges that have impacted negatively on his performance. The governor said fighting corruption was not limited to ‎discovering large sums of money here and there, but doing the right thing at the right time. He opined that taking a bow when necessary was also an indication of being morally upright. The governor, who appraised the two years of the Buhari administration, said the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government had failed to deliver on its promises. ‎ "So far, the APC-led Federal Government has been a government of misadventure and Nigerians are worse for it. They say they are fighting corruption but are shielding corrupt elements within their fold.

The Governor of Ekiti State and Chairman of the Governors’ Forum of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has knocked the Federal Government and the Nigeria Police for planning to stop a protest for good governance by a musician, Mr. Innocent Idibia, a.k.a. 2 Face. Also, a Lagos-based lawyer, Mr. Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, has said nothing, including the police, can stop the planned peaceful rally being organised by the musician.

An Area Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has lambasted the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, over the attack on Pastor Enoch Adeboye. In an opinion editorial released on Monday titled, "APC’s scurrilous attack on Adeboye", an Area Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Bola Bolawole, condemned the attack on the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, over his visit to Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose. Bolawole revealed what led to the visit of Pastor Adeboye to Fayose and what transpired at the meeting. Read below; “Pastor Enoch Adeboye makes whistle stops at tens of Let’s Go A-Fishing venues. This December’s itinerary recently saw Pastor Adeboye criss-crossing towns and villages in Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti states, among others. At Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, the governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, and the traditional ruler, the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe, were among the dignitaries that received Pastor Adeboye.

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has said that Nigerians were suffering under the All Progressives Congress (APC) government of President Muhammadu In a statement in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday, by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said Nigeria was experiencing the worst form of nepotism in the history of government in the country, saying, “nepotism is the reason our President discarded competent people in his party that should be running the government with him and opted for his relatives, friends, in-laws and very close associates.”

EFCC to arraign Fayose's aide, Abiodun Agbele today




An ally of Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, Abiodun Agbele will on Wednesday be arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on charges of N1.2bn fraud allegedly received from government purse. The money is alleged to be part of the N4.7bn received from the Office of the National Security Adviser in 2015 by Office of the National Security Adviser and his son, Gbolahan through the account of Sylvan McNamara, a company allegedly owned by Obanikoro’s sons.

Court throws out murder case involving Ayo Fayose



Murder cases involving Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose relisted and quietly thrown out by a High Court judge in Ekiti on Wednesday. The murder case came up before Justice Ogunyemi of Ekiti High Court in Ado-Ekiti. The case had Ekiti State Government represented by Kunle Adetowubo, Mrs. T.O ogunwole as representative of accused persons.

Fayose Calls 700 Clergymen For Prayers Ahead of 2016

 
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose yesterday urged all Nigerians to pray for the unity of the country, predicting that some events will shake the country to its foundation in 2016. Fayose, who led over 700 clergymen, in conjunction with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to pray in the Governor’s Office, Ado Ekiti said the country will face many socio-political challenges next year, noting that it is only the prayers of the people that will save the country from the impending calamity.

Ekiti Imams tell state residents, Don’t accept Fayose’s rams, foods

An association of Imams and Alfas in Ekiti today held a meeting at the Ansar-u-deen Society Central Mosque Odo–Otu, Ado Ekiti where they gave an order to Muslims in the state not to accept food items and rams for the Sallah celebration from Governor Fayose or any official of the state govt. The Muslim religious leaders gave the order to protest the alleged non inclusion of Muslims in political appointments in the state by Governor Fayose.

IN what appeared like a move to forestall an alleged move by the All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers in the Ekti State House of Assembly to reconvene on Monday, supporters of Governor Ayò Fayose and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) moved to the road leading to the assembly to hold “a meeting and  picnic.”
