Nnamdi Kanu Has No Means Of Livelihood - Nigerian Army


Head Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Sani Usman, has made it known during a press round that everyone supporting IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, were in a “one-chance vehicle.” In his words: “There was an allegation that somebody (Kanu) went into hiding. Now, I can’t remember the day but in an interview on Channels TV, one of Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brothers said that he was in hiding and he knew where he was.

Biafra What? We Are For One Nigeria – Igbo Community


The Igbo community in Adamawa State on Thursday dismissed the agitation for Biafra. Leader of the community, Godwin Onemaka while addressing journalists in Yola, the state capital, described the clamour for Biafra as unnecessary. Onemaka urged Nnamdi Kanu and his fellow agitators to consider the consequences of plunging Nigerian into chaos by divisive activities. Citing the effect of another Civil war, Onemaka maintained that Biafra agitation had failed and there was no need to restart it again. According to Onemaka, agitators should have a rethink because people of the South East extraction are looking for ways to develop.

IPOB Is A Terrorist Group, Stands Proscribed – FG Insists


The Federal Government on Tuesday threw its weight on the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the categorisation of IPOB as a terrorist organisation by both the south-east governors and the Nigerian army, respectively, saying the activities of the group are similar to those of other terrorist groups. The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed disclosed this on Tuesday when he appeared on a live TV programme “Good Morning Nigeria” on NTA. According to him, federal government equally knows the foreign countries supporting and funding the activities of IPOB in Nigeria and has kick-started steps at blocking IPOB’s funding.

Nnamdi Kanu Talks Tough: "I Will Not Go On Exile"


The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has declared that he will not embark on an exile following threats of his rearrest by the federal government. Kanu claimed that the IPOB is the most vibrant and intelligent mass movement in the world today. He insisted that IPOB or himself cannot be intimidated into hiding by the federal government. In a statement released by the media and publicity secretary Emma Powerful, the IPOB said: “Our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has made it abundantly clear to all and sundry that he is NOT going on exile as a result of these childish threats from Hausa Fulani dominated Nigeria Government.” Powerful said the focus of the leadership of the group is to restore the freedom of Biafra and nothing short of that.

If You Arrest Me, Biafra Republic will Come Even Quicker - Nnamdi Kanu Declares as He's Set to Visit Lagos While speaking in Umuahia, the Abia state capital on Wednesday, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, said he's not afraid of getting re-arrested by the Federal government, adding that it would quicken the actualization of the Republic of Biafra dream. Kanu also said that nobody can restrict his movement in any part of the country and that he is free to go to any part of Nigeria, including Lagos, if he so wishes.

The IPOB Sit-at-home Order Was Not Just Observed in Nigeria... See the Number of Countries That Took Part

The highly anticipated and widely reported sit-at-home protest staged by the Indigenous People of Biafra was recorded in more than just Nigeria. The Indigenous People of Biafra on Tuesday appraised the level of compliance with its sit-at-home order and described it as a huge success. According to Punch Metro, in a statement made available in Awka, the Anambra State capital, by IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said apart from Nigeria, the order was observed in no fewer than 75 countries. Powerful gave the names of the countries where the order was complied with as Taiwan, Chad, Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA, Russia, Ukraine, Angola, Congo DRC, Mozambique, Luxembourg, Brazil, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, St. Kitts, Canada, Italy, Norway, Denmark, Spain, Sweden, France.

Controversial Nigerian lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye has finally denied reports that he was disbarred yesterday in Nigeria. Nigerian lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye has reacted to allegations that he was disbarred in Nigeria over fraud allegations leveled against him. The learned man took to social media to react to rumours tainting his name. Ugwuonye said: "I was in court this morning. I arrived a whole hour late. I was late because I had to stay behind to issue statesments to friends and supporters against the potential frenzy over the stories about me and the Nigerian Bar. After court, I have beld 4 different meetings, pushing my lunch time to just a couple of hours ago. It has been quite a busy day for me on account of my pre-existing schedule. Despite that, I have been aware of the excitement which the stories about me in the social media have generated.

Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Ugwuonye barred from legal practice in Nigeria


Lawyer to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Emeka Ephraim Ugwuonye has been temporarily banned from legal practice in Nigeria. Ugwuonye recently joined the legal team of Nnamdi Kanu. The former United States-based Nigerian lawyer, who was disbarred in New York and Maryland for professional misconduct, was yesterday also disbarred in Nigeria, to which he had relocated, for the same offense.

Nandi Kansas Leaves Kuje Prison After Fulfilling Bail Conditions (Photos)



The leader of the indigenous People of Biafra Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, has been released from the Kuje Prison in Abuja after meeting the bail conditions granted him by a Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday After almost 2 years in detention, he left the prison at about 5pm after meeting the bail conditions.He was driven out of the detention facility by former aviation minister Osita Chidoka.

Nnamdi Kanu’s family rejects bail condition


The father of leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, His Royal Highness, Eze Israel Kanu, his wife Ugoeze Sally Kanu, have rejected the bail conditions given by Justice Binta Nyako of the Abuja High Court to free his son, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, saying Kanu should be released unconditionally. According to Vanguard, both the father and the mother, Ugoeze Sally and their daughter Chinwe, faulted Justice Binta Nyako for the bail condition given to Nnamdi to be freed. Speaking to reporters at Isiama Afaraukwu, Umuahia North Council, Eze Israel Kanu said while the family was happy over the bail granted their son, they rejected the bail condition, saying that the conditions attached to it was not necessary.

The IPOB leader is also expected to provide three sureties one of who must be a serving senator, a jewish religious leader and highly respected person and must own a land in anywhere in Abuja.
