I was tricked into joining Badoo-18-year-old suspect confesses


One of the five Badoo cult suspects paraded on Thursday at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja, 18-year-old Chibuzor Igwe, says he was tricked into joining Badoo cult. Igwe explained that he had approached one of the alleged leaders of the cult, Obamoyegun Omotayo, for a driving job, but was lured into the gang. Chibuzor said, “I am a Badoo member. Around November, I told Obamoyegun (Omotayo) that I wanted to be his driver because I saw him with new cars. He told me that it would take some time before he would give me the job. During that time, he called me….”

Badoo strikes in Ikororodu again, kills husband; wife, baby in coma


The notorious cult group operating in Lagos State, Badoo, Sunday attacked a family at Lajo in Ibeshe, Ikorodu, a Lagos district. The attack, which was said to have occurred around 3am, claimed the life of the man identified as Shakiru, while his wife and six-month-old baby, who were critically injured are in a coma at the moment. The victims were said to have been rushed to the Ikorodu General Hospital, from where they were referred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.

Badoo Member Arrested During Church Vigil


Plan by a suspected member of the dreaded Badoo cult group to kill a member of Ori-Oke branch of a white garment church at Irapade area of Agbowa Lagos, has been foiled, following his arrest. The suspect, Ahmed Adeleke, 29, who disguised as a worshipper, attended the church’s vigil, at the end which a female member, who was sleeping at a corner of the church, was heard shouting that she had been attacked. According to Vanguard, when curious members got to her, it was discovered that her head had been smashed. She was said to have pointed to the direction where the suspect took. Some church members went in the direction and reportedly found the suspect changing his clothes. He was said to have denied the allegation.

Badoo smashes woman’s head after church vigil


Suspected members of the Badoo cult disguised as worshippers on Saturday to attack the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Okin Parish, Igbo Agbowa, Ibeshe, in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State. PUNCH Metro learnt that a woman, who had attended a vigil in the church, was injured after her head was smashed with a stone. It was gathered that three Badoo suspects had mingled with the congregation during the vigil, which ended around 3am on Saturday. Shortly after the members slept off, the assailants reportedly struck, smashing the stone on the head of the woman whose name had yet to be ascertained. Our correspondent was told that the victim raised the alarm, which woke up other church members and residents of the area.

Badoo Cult Group Wiped Out Family of Five on Sunday (Photos)


More details of how the dreaded Badoo cult group attacked a family of five and wiped them out has been revealed. The identify of a couple and their children brutally murdered by the dreaded Badoo cult group in the early hours of Sunday at Oke Ota community, Ibeshe area of Ikorodu has been revealed. The couple identified as Mr. and Mrs. Adejare alongside their two children, while the third kid was said to be in a coma at the Ikorodu General Hospital were discovered by neighbours after the ugly incident. According to Punch, the children were reportedly aged between five and one. Two of them were identified as Siyin and Ajoke, all females. The assailants, it was gathered cut the window net of the family’s apartment to gain entry before unleashing terror on the family.

Baddo Moves To Berger, Strike Lovers


Suspected members of the Badoo cult early Friday morning killed two lovers in their apartment in Ogun State. A source told a Punch correspondent that the heads of the victims were smashed. The incident happened at a storey building located on Hassan Abiodun Street, off Ojodu Berger, in Ifo Local Government Area of the state. Many of the residents could not be consoled as policemen from Ojodu Abiodun Division took away the remains of the deceased for onward transfer to the General Hospital Sagamu.

The obituary of Mr Ike David Ijege who was killed by suspected Badoo members on June 29th alongside his wife Margaret and three sons, has been released by his family. The deceased persons will be buried on Friday July 14th in Lagos.

Another suspected member of the notorious secret cult, Badoo, was burnt to death in Ebute Ipakodo area in Ikorodu town of Lagos in the early hours of today. According to reports, the man was caught with black oil robbed all over his body as he made an attempt to enter the premises of a resident.

Police warns Ikorodu residents to always carry ID Cards over Badoo killings


The Lagos State Police Command on Monday directed all residents and visitors to Ikorodu area of the state to always have a valid means of identification on their persons. “The Lagos State Police Command would like to inform members of the public especially residents in ikorodu and environs,that from henceforth everybody moving around that part of the state, residents, students or workers should always have on them a valid form of identification,” the statement read in parts.

Badoo, the dreaded cult group that has terrorized Ikorodu residents and led to jungle justice on those alleged to be members of the group, have striked again. The attack was carried out at Crystal Church of Christ (C&S) Aladura at no 4, Victor Anibaba Street, Owode Weigh Bridge, along Ikorodu road last night.

Okewunmi Omotoyosi Daniel, who was, weekend, arrested alongside suspected members of the notorious Badoo boys during a joint raid by the Police, O’odua Peoples Congress, OPC, and members of a vigilante group in Ikorodu area of Lagos, has said that he is not a member of the dreaded cult. Daniel’s face appeared in a photograph taken by the Police during the weekend raid. However, Daniel, who said he is a teacher, visited Vanguard’s corporate headquarters yesterday, noting that he was later released after he convinced the Police of his innocence. Indications emerged, yesterday, that the dreaded Badoo cult group has extended its gruesome killings of defenceless Nigerians to Ogun State, following the arrest of suspected members in Ogijo area of the state, weekend. Vanguard was informed that the cult members resumed their gruesome killings in the state three weeks ago and had so far operated at Ogijo and Ipetero areas of Ogun. One of their victims was a six-year-old boy, whose head was reportedly smashed with a grinding stone.

No less than 100 suspected members of the dreaded Badoo Boys cult were arrested weekend, during a joint raid on the group’s hideouts by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, of Lagos State Police Command, Anti-Robbery operatives, members of the Oodua peoples Congress, OPC, and members of vigilante groups in Ikorodu. Members of the cult had laid siege to Ikorodu and environs, unleashing an orgy of killings, during which they used heavy stones to crush the skulls of their victims.

Badoo members break pastor’s head with mortar


A minister with the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Wale Solomon, is battling for his life in an undisclosed hospital on the Lagos Island after he was allegedly attacked by some cult members suspected to be Badoo. PUNCH Metro gathered that the father of three was sleeping with his family in their house on Obayemi Street, First Gate, Ikorodu, when the hoodlums stormed the house around 2am on Saturday.
