Tragedy as container falls on a car in Mile 2 area of Lagos state, killing the driver of the car. It was a narrow escape for the owner of a car who survived an accident after a container fell on his car and crushed the driver to death, leaving the car condemned on Mile 2 road.

SAD: 30 Die In New Year’s Eve Road Accident

Thirty people were killed and 16 injured in a road accident early Sunday morning after a bus and a truck had a head-on collision in central Kenya. “We have 30 dead,” said Rift Valley traffic police chief Zero Arome of the 3am accident close to Nakuru town. “All the bodies have been removed from the wreckage and injured people taken to hospital.” The accident occurred close to a notorious stretch on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway when a bus travelling from Busia, in western Kenya, collided with a truck coming from Nakuru.

Easter Tragedy In Lagos: 7 Killed, 19 Injured In Accidents

No fewer than seven people lost their lives on Monday in 2 separate accidents in the Gbagada and Surulere areas of Lagos. While two passengers died and 14 sustained varying degree of injuries in the Gbagada crash, five died and five others were injured in the Surulere incident. It was learnt that the Gbagada accident happened after a commercial bus had a head-on collision with a cab at about 3pm. Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency rescued the 14 survivors and rushed them to the Gbagada General Hospital and the Trauma Centre, Ikeja.

20 Persons, 25 Cows Die in Kogi Road Accident Caused by Robbers

No fewer than 20 persons were killed on Monday in an early morning crash around Irepeni, along Abuja-Lokoja-Okene highway. About 25 cows were also killed in the incident. Vanguard gathered that the accident was caused by a road block mounted by armed robbers along Irepeni axis of the highway. The robbers were said to have fled the scene afterwards.
