Well-meaning Nigerians know that power supply has improved – Fashola

Minister for power, works and steel, Babatunde Fashola has stated that well-meaning Nigerians can attest that power supply has improved compared to what it was like before the Buhari-led administration took over in 2015. Fashola made this known while speaking at a media parley in his Abuja office yesterday Monday April 29th. According to Fashola, he was very convinced that his promise of incremental power, better journey experience on the roads, affordable housing, as well as economic opportunities for Nigerians, has been fulfilled.

Third mainland bridge will be closed for only 3 days – Fashola


Babatunde Fashola, the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, has made it known that the Third mainland bridge would be closed for just three days during its repairs as against the 27 months that was circulated. Fashola made this known while appearing on Channels TV this morning.

22 Years After, FG Gives Bonfrere Jo House They Promised Him


The Federal Government on Tuesday fulfilled its promise to former Super Eagles coach, Bonfrere Jo, handing him the keys to a three-bedroom apartment in Gwagwalada, Abuja. The Dutchman was promised a house after guiding the national U23 team to win men’s football at the Atlanta ’96 Olympic Games. Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, who handed Bonfrere the keys during a brief ceremony in Abuja, said the reward would inspire the Eagles at the 2018 World Cup competition in Russia.

Fashola's Budget Proposal Failed Integrity Test - Reps


The Green Chamber has attacked an APC chieftain, Babatunde Fashola again as the drama of the tampering of 2017 budget estimates between the executive and the legislature lingers. The House of Representatives said on Wednesday it would not allow the nation’s resources to be unfairly distributed to the detriment of any section of the country. The lawmakers said the National Assembly was forced to tinker with the 2017 budget because the proposal presented by President Muhammadu Buhari for Ministry of Works, Power and Housing failed integrity test as it was skewed to favour a section of the country. The House Spokesman, Abdulrazaq Namdas, said in a statement the time was ripe for Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, to know that it was the duty of the National Assembly to ensure fairness in the distribution of nation’s resources.

Lagos PDP has hailed the achievements of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, but didn’t spare his predecessor, Babtunde Raji Fashola. The chilled political relationship between two former governors of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Mr. Babatunde Fashola came to the fore yesterday, when the mainstream of the state’s political class abstained from the launch of three books on Fashola’s stewardship of the state. However, a testimony of Fashola’s credentials among technocrats was evident as the occasion had a surplus of professionals from various sectors of the society, who thronged the event for the launch. Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor Drags Fashola To Court!

The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor has dragged Lagos state Government and six others before a Lagos High Court in a bid to stop the proposed demolition of his church

Lagos State Governor opens register for s*x offenders


The Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola has signed a bill to create a register for all s*x offenders in the state. Fashola also identified Alimosho, Kosofe, Agege and Oshodi-Isolo as the areas with the highest cases of S*xual and Gender Based Violence in the state.
