The body of the late Prof. Dora Akunyili is expected to arrive in the country this week, family sources have disclosed.
Media Adviser to the late former Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Isaac Umunna, who made this known, stated that the deceased’s husband, Chike; and her brother, Dr. Anayo Edemobi, confirmed to him on Monday that the remains of Prof. Akunyili would be flown in before the end of the week.

Umunna quoted the ex-minister’s husband and her brother as saying that the body would have been flown in earlier “but because yesterday was Sunday, it wasn’t a working day, the plans were delayed”.
He, however, confirmed that discussions have not taken place yet about the programme for the burial because a lot of consultations would be held before it could be drawn up.

He said, “As you can see from the mood of the people, all Nigerians have come to claim her as their own and Nigerians will be consulted before the programme will be drafted.

“There will be meetings with Anambra State Government, the Federal Government and other significant bodies that Prof. had served.

“One man alone will not decide when she will be buried”.

Meanwhile, no condolence register has been opened by the Anambra State Government for sympathisers to sign as of Monday, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

The late Akunyili was an indigene of the state.

Shocking Revelations on Prof. Dora Akuyili's Death, She Did Not Die of Cancer, Source Reveals

  Dora Akunyili is watching you
Her first appearance at the National confab sef gave me a lot of worry... I was just thinking about the source of her sickness when I saw these:
There seems to be more than meets the eyes at the unexpected death of former Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, (NAFDAC), and Minister of Information, Prof. Dora Akunyili, as some are alleging that she did not actually die from cancer but from what they describe as voodoo.

That former Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, (NAFDAC), and Minister of Information, Prof. Dora Akunyili succumbed to the colds hands of death over the weekend, allegedly from cancer related ailment, is not debatable.
As Nigerians from all walks of life mourn the astute woman who staked her life to flush out fake drugs in the country, some close insiders are of the view that her death may have not been natural as many of them suspect she may have hastened to her grave by diabolical means.

Those who hold this view believe that Prof. Akunyili, a renown pharmacist of international repute, could not have been so unmindful of the fact that she had such an ailment and that if she actually had cancer, it could have been detected on time and commence treatment immediately.
A former aide of Prof. Akunyili, who does not want his name in print, told pulse.ng on phone that the notion that she died of cancer should be dintscouenanced as findings have revealed that she was actually bewitched by those who thought she had wrecked their businesses by seizing and destroying their fake drugs.

Anyone saying Prof. Dora Akunyili died of cancer does not know the real truth. You that when she was at the helms of affair at NAFDAC, she was fearless and stepped on so many toes.
Many of those who imported fake drugs into the country and had them seized and destroyed by the agency, had vowed to deal with her. Remember that at one time, her car was shot at by assassins apparently sent by these disgruntled business men.
At another time, how house was attacked and in both instances, she escaped. So when the could not get at her with guns, they decided to go diabolical, so I can tell you that her death was not natural.
Dora Akunyili was killed. As a renown pharmacist, you should know that she would have known she had cancer. And she had undergone treatments in the USA but was told that she did not have any malignant growth that needed surgery.
So I am telling you that she did not die a natural death.

"To me, she was my mother and what I told her just last week stays with me," Chidiogo says in her tribute.

The Economics and International Relations graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Maryland, United States, in a tribute to her mother said she was happy to have spent some quality time with her mum last week before her death. Chidiogo said during their discussion, she seized the moment to appreciate her mother for being an inspiration to her and her siblings.

Chidiogo wrote,

“To many, she was an icon, to others, she was an inspiration, to me, she was my mother and all of the above. What I told her just last week stays with me, ‘I am your daughter, and you raised me, you have been in the midst of everything, mummy and that is the strength that is now mine and all of us your children.
It is also the strength of a whole nation; you touched so many lives, and that is a blessing that must not be taken lightly.’

Chidiogo thanked her friends and Nigerians for extending condolences to her family as she also offered prayers for the repose of the deceased.
“Thank you all my dear friends from the bottom of my heart for your kind words. Mummy, may your soul rest in eternal peace, one with God, who you loved and served above all else.”

Dora Akunyili Is Seriously Sick Yet Doctors Can't Find Anything

This is why many people don't like fighting for the masses while in office in Nigeria, because the cabal you are fighting will attack you with both physical and spiritual means. Is Dora Akunyili under spiritual attack?
Former minister of Information, Dora Akunyili, is seriously sick and under close medical supervision. Early in the year, it was reported that Madam Akunyili was suffering severe health challenges and was flown abroad for treatment. There were also reports that her husband, Chike Akunyili, had confirmed she was ill.

Her husband, Mr Akunyili, tried to downplay the issue. He had said:
“Yes, she suffered some minor health challenges but she is now okay. She is in the United States. I spoke with her today. What happened was that our son said she should come over and rest. You know all our children are abroad. She will soon return to the country and we will show up in a public gathering. There is a couple that wants us to sponsor their wedding. Both of us will appear in public. She is now okay.”
But members of their family are saying her situation is now getting critical...

Madam Akunyili, who did a good job in NAFADAC, fighting her Igbo brothers who are into fake drugs biz, has not been seen in any public event since November 16, 2013. Some of them threatened her openly then.

According to a relative of Mrs Akunyili, who spoke on condition of anonymity, she is currently having serious health challenges. The source said she has been flown to India for treatment but after series of medical tests, the doctors couldn’t diagnose the ailment.

”We are deeply concerned about our sister (Prof. Akunyili), her illness defies medical intervention,” the family source said. “She has been to India, the doctors could not diagnose her illness. She has visited Pastor Adeboye and yet her illness persists. This is worrisome, and distressing.”

Another source who visited her in her home in Abuja confirmed that Dora Akunyili's health is deteriorating.
