LUTH Discharges Three Doctors Infected With Lassa Fever.


Two doctors infected with Lassa fever and receiving treatment at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, have been discharged. The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Chris Bode, who disclosed this in Lagos on Wednesday, also confirmed that the first doctor to have had contact with the index patient had been discharged since Sunday.He said

3 More LUTH Staff Test Positive For Lassa Fever

Three out of the 100 health workers that came in contact with a pregnant woman who died of Lassa fever at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, have tested positive for the infection.


LUTH’s Chief Medical Director, Prof. Chris Bode, confirmed this at a joint briefing by the hospital’s management and officials of the Lagos State Ministry of Health on Wednesday.

Armed Robbers Invade LUTH this Morning


Information reaching us has it that armed robbers invaded Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba this morning. According to eyewitness account, it has been very heavy robbery right from "wee hours" of this morning.
